Soaring Eagle Farms

Shires

New on the horizon for Soaring Eagle Farms is our acquisition of some of the finest Shire genetics to be found.  In November 2016, we imported several horses from the U.K. and Scotland.  Two of those horses are Shire stallions sired by the late, great stallion, Hamlet, owned by Paul and Mathew Bedford of Thorpe Hill Farm.  We thank the Bedfords for allowing us to import these fine, modern Shires which launched our program to an impressive start in 2017.  We think you'll like these young horses as much as we do.

We exhibited two of our Shire mares at the 2017 National Shire Show in Des Moines, and they were not to be outdone by our stallions.  Westwind Grand Emily was pinned national champion mare.  Meanwhile, Autumn was picture perfect in harness.  We love the headset, move, and conformation of these outstanding females.
